Athletics Players Trust

Cal Poly takes great pride in identifying and developing talented student-athletes, helping them grow both on the field and in the classroom. As our athletes excel and gain well-deserved recognition, our mission is to provide additional financial aid and supplemental scholarship opportunities to ensure they continue their journeys here. By strengthening our resources, we can further invest in student-athlete success, retain our top talent, and uphold our commitment to their academic and athletic achievements. Together, we can ensure that financial considerations never overshadow the incredible value of a Cal Poly education, and the lifelong bonds formed within our community.

Players Trust Mission Statement

This settlement aims to provide student-athletes with additional benefits while maintaining fair competition and protecting the integrity of college athletics. These benefits will supplement existing offerings, such as free tuition, room and board, educational grants, and medical support.

Following the April 7 hearing, if approved, the conferences and NCAA will move forward with implementation overseen by a Settlement Implementation Committee composed of 10 athletics directors. This committee will gather feedback to ensure effective implementation and success of the settlement.

Cal Poly Athletics isn't just adapting to the changing landscape of collegiate sports; we're building something entirely new. By establishing the Players Trust, we are inviting alumni, fans and community members to make a direct investment in the student-athletes they admire, helping ensure their continued journey as Mustangs.

Each athletic program will have its own Players Trust initiative, allowing supporters to contribute to additional financial aid and performance-based incentives.
