Cal Poly Development

Cal Poly Athletic Development is the fundraising team within the Cal Poly Athletic Department that provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations to help inspire a life-changing vision and provide student-athletes with the opportunity to compete for championships, excel academically, and achieve their dreams after earning their degree.

Philanthropic support helps to fund operational support and scholarships for our 21 NCAA sponsored sports ensuring that our over 550 student-athletes are able to compete at the highest level in Division I Collegiate Athletics. Renovations to facilities and capital projects are also only made possible due to generous donor support. 

You are critical to our success and Cal Poly Athletics needs you now more than ever. With your financial support, we can continue to put these young men and women in a position to flourish now and after graduation.

As a donor to Cal Poly Athletics, you are able to designate how your giving is allocated and if you want it to directly benefit an individual sport, student-athlete though a scholarship or facility project. No matter how you direct your philanthropy, your gift will impact Cal Poly Athletics as a whole as we strive to provide opportunities that will best position our student-athletes for success in all facets of their lives at Cal Poly and beyond.

All gifts to Cal Poly Athletics are tax deductible through The California Polytechnic State University Foundation. The Cal Poly Foundation qualifies as a public charitable organization and meets the requirements of Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).

Gifts made online receive an immediate e-receipt that is emailed to the donor when the gift is made. In addition, a receipt is displayed on your screen that can be printed or saved. Receipts for online gifts are not sent in the mail. Receipts are mailed for all other types of transaction.
